Pack your bags for San Francisco
“The coldest winter I ever saw was the summer I spent in San Francisco”
– Mark Twain
OK, Mark Twain might have been exaggerating. But San Francisco in August can be chilly. So like the song says,"If you're going to San Francisco...bring an extra layer of clothes."
Daytime: Keep it casual!
-
Short- and long-sleeved shirts
-
T-shirts
-
Jeans
-
Bring a windbreaker, fleece jacket or sweatshirt in your daypack!
Note: Please see the President's Club tour and activity descriptions for any attire or footwear requirements specific to your chosen tours.
Evening: Keep on keeping it casual!
-
Dress for our Welcome Reception and Dinner is casual - jeans or shorts are OK.
-
The President's Club Awards Evening is evening casual. But maybe spiff it up a tiny bit? Slacks and collared shirts for men, and dresses, slacks or skirts and blouses for women.
Dining on your own
Most San Francisco restaurants are casual. But bring a nicer outfit if you'd like to hit an upscale restaurant with an "elegant attire" dress policy.
Don't Forget to Pack:
-
Comfortable walking or athletic shoes
-
Camera and accessories
-
Sunglasses
-
Sunscreen
-
Extra pair of eyeglasses or contact lenses
-
Prescription medicine (enough to last the trip)
For the Board of Directors Napa Valley Trip:
If you're going on the Board of Directors extension, please note that the weather in Napa is vastly different from that of San Francisco.
The daytime average high will be about 83°F and the nighttime/early morning low about 55°F.
Attire in the Wine Country tends to be smart casual or resort casual. You will want to pack shorts, sandals, sundresses and lightweight slacks for Napa.
Our hotel has a pool, so don't forget your swimsuit and cover-up!
