Janek Januszkiewicz is a New Zealand born and educated Plastic Surgeon and was made Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1993. Following training in New Zealand he completed postgraduate fellowships in the UK and Atlanta, USA. Until 2005 he was a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Middlemore and Kidz First hospitals, and Clinical Tutor in the University of Auckland Department of Surgery. He is now in full time private practice and in 1996 co-founded the New Zealand Institute of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery. Mr Januszkiewicz is a member of the New Zealand Association of Plastic Surgeons, and the NZ National Secretary for the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He serves on the editorial board of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal. He was President of the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery from 2006-2008. He has had a career-long passion for plastic surgery of the breast and has been an invited lecturer at numerous national and international surgical conferences and instructional courses. In New York 2013 the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery bestowed on him the prestigious Raymond Villain award for the best International presentation at their annual scientific meeting. | |
Stella Milsom is the senior reproductive endocrinologist at both National Womens’ Hospital, Auckland and in the Reproductive Endocrine group, Fertility Associates Auckland, and is also a senior clinical lecturer in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Auckland. She is the Chairman of the Specialist advisory committee in endocrinology for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, a member of the New Zealand Guideline Committees for Menopausal Hormone therapy and Fertility Preservation, an advisor to Pharmac NZ, and the New Zealand Medical Council, and on the Boards of Human Fertility UK and Osteoporosis New Zealand. Her clinical and research interests include polycystic ovary syndrome, anovulatory infertility, hypothalamic amenorrhea, menopause, and osteoporosis. | |
Maria Pearse trained at the University of Otago’s Medical School and currently works as a Consultant Radiation Oncologist at both Auckland City Hospital and Auckland Radiation Oncology. In March 2003, Maria was accepted as a Fellow of The Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (Radiation Oncology specialty). In 2004, Maria took up a Clinical Fellowship in Radiation Oncology at the Toronto Sunnybrook Regional Cancer Centre in Canada. Since her return to NZ, Maria has worked at Auckland City Hospital and Auckland Radiation Oncology. Maria has a general interest in oncology including sub-specialty interests in the following cancers; breast, urology, gastrointestinal, skin, prostate brachytherapy and palliative radiation oncology. Maria is a member of the Medical Advisory Committee of the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation and is on the executive of the Auckland Breast Cancer Study Group and the New Zealand Breast Cancer Special Interest Group. Maria is an Examiner for the Royal Australasian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR). Maria also is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Discipline of Oncology at The University of Auckland’s Medical School. Maria is active in the field of cancer research and has a number of international peer-reviewed publications. She is also the recipient of a number of research grants and awards. | |
Geraldine Tennant is a Health Psychologist, who specialises in breast cancer care. She works at the breast clinic at Auckland City Hospital and in private practice at Breast Associates. She is a member of the NZ Psychological Society and the Institute of Health Psychology. Geraldine’s research interests include the psychological impact of breast symptoms and breast disease, patient delay, coping with chronic illness, and communication and reassurance in healthcare settings. Geraldine is also a Professional Teaching Fellow in the Department of Psychological Medicine at the University of Auckland. This role involves teaching professional and communication skills to medical students. | |
