How do I obtain a passport?
If applying for a new passport, be aware that normal processing through your local courthouse or post office may take up to eight to ten weeks (visit www.travel.state.gov for walk-in service locations).
Several Federal Offices across the United States have locations where you can apply in person for a passport and receive the passport within 3-5 days for an extra fee. The Federal Passport Office locations are listed on the government link listed above. There is a Federal Office located in downtown Minneapolis across from the Old Milwaukee Depot which does accept same day appointments for an additional fee.
To visit Mexico you are required to have a Valid Passport. That is the only proof of citizenship that is accepted. The name on your airline ticket MUST match the name on your passport.
Notes:
- Be sure to verify that your passport is valid for at least six months beyond April 9, 2017.
- Without a valid passport and a passport that matches the name on your airline ticket, you will be denied boarding by the airline.

Can I bring my child(ren) along on the trip?
"Best of the Best" is an adults only event. Breathless Resort policy doesn't allow children at the resort. Any guest invited to Best of the Best by Border Foods must be 21 years old. Border Foods will not cover charges associated with travel, accommodations or transportation for any additional attendee outside of the one invited adult guest.
Can I extend my stay?
Post extensions are available, pre program extensions are not allowed. If you wish to post extend after the program date of April 9th, please make this selection during your registration and you will be provided with our corporate discounted resort rate. All post extension requests are subject to availability. Feel free to email or call a Border Foods Travel Staff to discuss your post extension before registering. The corporate discounted rate is $287.00 per person double occupancy, or $407 single occupancy. This per person per night rate is all inclusive (food, beverage, in room dining, non-motorized activities, fitness access, etc.) and will provide you access to all services included in the room rate on property. Transfers outside events dates are on your own. You will be responsible for any airfare cost differences between the flight on program dates and the flight you take back to your home city.
What organized functions can my guest attend?
Your guest is invited to all dinner functions hosted by Border Foods.
Do I have to pay for my airfare or transfers from home to the airport and back?
All travel-related expenses approved by your manager will be covered by Border Foods. You are responsible for the cost of transferring or parking at the Airport.
Do I need to bring money for activities?
The first activity per person is compliments of Border Foods. A credit card is preferred but dollars are accepted if you decide to purchase a second activity, and if you decide to purchase food or souvenirs during the activity. For specifics, visit the Optional Activity Descriptions page.
Should I exchange currency before leaving for Mexico?
While the resort is all inclusive, dollars are readily accepted in many places outside the resort, and currency can be exchanged at the resort or any bank or ATM. We suggest only exchanging currency as needed. A passport and the Mexican Tourist Card (you receive after clearing customs) are required when changing currency at banks or the resort front desk.
Do I need to take PTO or vacation days to cover this trip?
No, the Border Foods dates (April 5-9, 2017) do not count against PTO or vacation days.
Do I need a power adapter in Mexico?
Mexico is on 120v, 60Hz power, the same as the United States. You don't need to buy any kind of adapter.
