Brent Green presents a distinctive perspective about Baby Boomers, having worked as a counseling psychologist for five years, followed by 35 years as an award-winning creative director, marketing strategist, and writer. Through dramatic multimedia presentations, he enlightens audiences about Boomer business opportunities with the insights of someone who has been marketing to them since they were young adults.

Author of Marketing to Leading-Edge Baby Boomers and Generation Reinvention, he also writes for Huffington Post, CNBC, The Good Men Project and other online and traditional print media. He examines contemporary cultural and social topics through his blog Boomers: A Trip into the Heart of the Baby Boomer Generation.

Established in 1986, Brent Green & Associates, Inc. develops marketing programs with emphasis on direct response media, sales promotions, public relations, and senior executive training. His firm has received more than 50 regional, national, and international awards for creative excellence, including the Direct Marketing Association’s International Gold ECHO Award. Rev. Dr. Linda Mercadante

Dr. Linda A. Mercadante was once a "spiritual but not religious" person. But through an intensive spiritual journey has become a seminary professor, theologian, and ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA).  You can read about this in her memoir, Bloomfield Avenue: A Jewish-Catholic Jersey Girl's Spiritual Journey.  A former journalist, she has won many awards for her research in such areas as the theology of culture, film and theology, addiction recovery spirituality, conversion narratives, and the SBNR movement. She has published five books, nearly 100 articles, and speaks internationally on a variety of topics.  Dr. Mercadante received her Ph.D. from Princeton and has been serving as Professor of Theology at The Methodist Theological School in Ohio for more than 25 years. She is married to Joseph Mas, a native Cuban, an attorney, a leader in the Ohio Hispanic community and a political commentator on the TV show Columbus on the Record (WOSU). They have three children, Sarah, Emily and David.

 
Rev. Dr. Craig Kennet Miller

Rev. Dr. Craig Kennet Miller is the Director of Congregational Development for Discipleship Ministries of the United Methodist Church.  He is team leader for the School of Congregational Development and creator of the Innovative Leadership Project. He is the author of numerous book including NextChurch.Now, iKids: Parenting in the Digital Age, and the forthcoming Boomer Spirituality: Seven Values for the Second Half of Life.  He is an Elder in the Cal-Pac Conference and holds a D.Min. from Fuller Seminary. 

 
Dr. Harry (Rick) Moody

Harry R. Moody, Ph.D., recently retired as Vice President and Director of Academic Affairs for AARP in Washington, DC.  He is currently Visiting Professor at Tohoku University in Japan, and Distinguished Faculty at Fielding Graduate University.  Dr. Moody previously served as Executive Director of the Brookdale Center on Aging at Hunter College and Chairman of the Board of Elderhostel (now Road Scholar).

 Dr. Moody is the author of over 100 scholarly articles, as well as a number of books including: Abundance of Life: Human Development Policies for an Aging Society (Columbia University Press, 1988); Ethics in an Aging Society (Johns Hopkins University Press, 1992); and Aging: Concepts and Controversies, a gerontology textbook now in its 8th edition. His most recent book, The Five Stages of the Soul, was published by Doubleday Anchor Books and has been translated into seven languages worldwide.  He is the editor of a regular newsletter, "Human Values in Aging," reaching 10,000 subscribers each month. In 2011 he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Society on Aging; in 2010, the Robert Kahn Award for Successful Aging, from Masterpiece Living and in 2008 he was named by Utne Reader Magazine as one of  “50 Visionaries Who Are Changing Your World.”

 
Dr. Carol Orsborn

Carol Orsborn, Ph.D. is editor-in-chief of Fierce with Age, The Digest of Boomer Wisdom, Inspiration and Spirituality, and author of 25 books including The Spirituality of Age: A Seeker’s Guide to Growing Older, coauthored with Dr. Robert Weber, and a recent winner of a Gold Nautilus Book Award in the category of Conscious Aging.  Dr. Orsborn received her Masters of Theological Studies and Doctorate in History and Critical Theory of Religion from Vanderbilt University. 

Dr. Orsborn has been a leading voice for the Boomer generation since she founded her first life-stage initiative, Overachiever’s Anonymous, in the late 1980’s.  The organization is credited as a progenitor of both the simplicity and work/life balance movements. She has appeared multiple times on The Today Show and in The New York Times, People Magazine and The Wall Street Journal.  In addition to her blogs on FierceWithAge.com, her blog and op-ed credits include: USA Today, PBS’s Next Avenue and Huffington Post. Most recently, she has played a leading role in the conscious aging movement, working both with individuals and religious/spiritual groups in re-visioning aging as a spiritual opportunity. 

Dr. Orsborn served as co-founder of Fleishman-Hillard’s FH Boom, the first global initiative by a top ten public relations firm dedicated to helping brands connect with the Boomer generation.  She has received post-graduate training in spiritual direction from the New Seminary in Manhattan.

She lives in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband Dan and their dogs Lucky and Molly. She is the grandmother of two. 

 
Vance Ross
Director of Annual Conference Relations for Vital Congregations at Discipleship Ministries.

Rev. Dr. Vance P. Ross is the current Director of Annual Conference Relations and an Annual Conference strategist at Discipleship Ministries of the United Methodist Church. He has had a long history of the leadership at Discipleship Ministries in various capacities and at several prominent, visionary, historical African-American Churches, including Gordon Memorial United Methodist Church, in Nashville, TN where he a distinguished pastorate. 

Dr. Ross offers a unique and highly resourceful perspective on leadership gained from leadership positions as Associate General Secretary of Leadership Ministries Division and then later as Deputy General Secretary for External Connectional Relationships. Vance studied leadership in his Doctoral Program. From this perspective he will speak for Minority Voices on the Baby Boom. His experience as a Boomer represents the variety of Baby Boomers, since Baby Boomers aren’t all the same. Dr. Ross speaks with authenticity about how to engage with not only urban Boomers but also rural Boomers, as well as the full spectrum of different Boomers types.
