Welcome to the 6th Annual Bill Pretto Memorial
Golf Tournament in support of the UCSF Brain Tumor Research Center. We very
much appreciate your support of our program.
In October 2005, our beloved husband and father, Bill
Pretto, was diagnosed with an aggressive late stage malignant brain tumor for
which he was treated at UCSF’s Brain Tumor Research Center in San Francisco,
CA. Bill’s battle, like so many with his diagnosis, was short and he succumbed
to the cancer in January 2006. While he was ill, he was treated to some of the
best experimental and research medical care that could be found in the nation.
UCSF’s Brain Tumor Research Center conducts amazing treatment for those living
with brain tumors.
In September 2007, we held our first memorial golf
tournament in Bill’s memory on the golf course where he was a marshal and
frequent player. Five years later we are proud to say that we have raised over
$50,000 in support of the UCSF Brain Tumor Research Center.
This year we will hold our annual event on Sunday, September
23, 2012 on the beautiful Links at Half Moon Bay. Please consider joining us
for golf and lunch, or if you are not a golfer, join us for the luncheon alone.
A silent auction, raffle, and putting contest will help make this day a fun
event for all ages!
