Visits to Galvanizing Plants

In conjunction with Industrieverband Feuerverzinken, an exciting programme of visits to galvanizing plants in Germany can be offered to delegates to Assembly 2013. These will take place on the afternoon of Wednesday 12 June and on Thursday 13 June. There are additional costs for these visits.
Places on plant visit groups are limited and will be allocated strictly in order of receipt of registration. Book early to avoid disappointment. Plant visits are only available for delegates who register for the Assembly. It is not allowed to take part in the plant visits only.
By registering for plant visits, delegates accept that visits to galvanizing plants are at their own risk. Whilst EGGA and the owners of the plants have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of visitors, neither EGGA nor the owners accept liability for loss or injury, howsoever caused.

Panometer Tour
Group 1A will also include a private ‘discover walk’ through the ‘Panometer’. Austrian born artist Yadegar Aisi coined the term ‘Panometer’ as a combination of ‘panorama’ and ‘gasometer’. It is a panoramic painting, 30m high and 54m in diameter inside a former gasometer displaying Dresden as it appeared from 1695 to 1760, providing views of Dresden as the royal baroque city and the splendour at the time of Augustus the Strong. Group 1A will visit the Parometer before the galvanizing plant.
