AELP Apprenticeship Debate 2014

Date:
Thursday, 20 February 2014
Venue: Congress Centre, Central London

Members of the Association of Employment and Learning Providers help train around three-quarters of England’s 850,000 apprentices. Working with thousands of employers on a daily basis, they know what works in terms of making the Apprenticeship programme a success and in the current debate around the proposed reforms for Apprenticeships, they were one of the first to highlight through AELP that changes had to be responsive to the needs of employers of all sizes. They have also referred to the possible impact on learners, especially young people who see Apprenticeships as a path to a good career. The provider voice has therefore already put a firm stake in the ground and its views are receiving respect.

Overview

This conference has been arranged to give providers the opportunity to gain an update on how the Apprenticeship Reforms are progressing.  In particular, we will hear from Government Departments and how those involved in the Trailblazers are progressing.

We also hope to outline the key issues in the Technical Consultation announced at the end of 2013 which will cover the implementation and impact of any changes to Apprenticeship funding.

This is a good opportunity to ensure that the provider voice is further heard in the debate about the future of Apprenticeships and it will be a must attend event for the sector.
