DR. ELING D. DE BRUIN, PHD, ADJ. PROFESSOR, ETH ZURICH, SWITZERLAND
With over 20 years of experience, Dr Eling D. e bruin holds a Phd in Human Movement Sciences, Habilitation and Motor Control & Learning. Dr Eling D. e bruin has been teaching and sharing his expertise at various academic institutes such as Health Polytechnic in Aarau, Institute of Human Movement Sciences and Sport ETH and Institute for Rheumatology & Physical Medicine University Hospital Zürich. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor at Department of Epidemiology, CAPHRI School for Public Health and Primary Care, Maastricht University & Centre for Evidence Based Physiotherapy in Maastricht University, The Netherlands.

MADAM LOW MUI LANG, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, SALVATION ARMY PEACEHAVEN NURSING HOME, SINGAPORE
Mdm Low is the Executive Director of Peacehaven Nursing Home and Peacehaven Bedok Multi-Service Centre, both run by The Salvation Army. Peacehaven is the largest nursing home in Singapore, with a capacity of 401 beds. The dementia specific facility Mdm Low set up there to allow early to moderate dementia residents to live as independently as possible was awarded the Ministry of Health’s ExCEL Award 2010 Best Innovative Project 2nd Prize. She also spearheaded the setting of a Transitional Convalescent Facility at the Home to provide lower-intensity rehabilitation for elderly patients after their episodes at an acute hospital before they are discharged home. Both these facilities are the first of their kind in Singapore. She was also instrumental in the setting up of an Integrated-Care-in-Place programme at Bedok Multi-Service Centre to delay institutionalization of elderly clients and allow them to remain in the community. The programme’s success prompted the health authorities to select the Centre to run the Singapore Programme for Integrated Care for the Elderly (SPICE) pilot programme. Under her leadership, Peacehaven is also the first nursing home to implement IngoT, an IT system with a full clinical suite, to increase productivity and efficiency in nursing home management.

DR JUNE CHI-YAN LO, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, DUKE-NUS MEDICAL SCHOOL, SINGAPORE
Dr June Chi-Yan Lo is an Assistant Professor at The Neuroscience and Behavioural Disorders Programme of Duke-NUS Medical School. She is a cognitive psychologist interested in the importance of sleep in brain and cognitive health in different age groups, including older adults. She had her post-doctoral training in two renowned sleep laboratories in the UK and Singapore. In collaboration with Professor Michael Chee at Duke-NUS, she has been tracking changes in brain morphometry and neuropsychological performance in relatively healthy Chinese older adults in the Singapore-Longitudinal Aging Brain Study. Her recent findings from this cohort and a meta-analytic study reveal that in older adults, adequate sleep is essential for optimal brain and cognitive aging.

MS YIING CHING LOKE, MANAGING DIRECTOR & WELLBEING TRAINER, ASPIRE55 PTE LTD, SINGAPORE
Yiing Ching is the Managing Director of ASPIRE55 and a sports enthusiast. She is trained and certified by HUR on the proper use of the strength training equipment for older adults and testing tools to monitor the fitness progress and fall prevention measurement. She believes that exercise should be engaging, challenging and fun at the same time. Motivating older adults to continue to workout, be stronger and active has been her goal since setting up ASPIRE55 and Wellbeing Innovation Lab. She overseas the strength training programmes for members and analyse the results of the Research Trial conducted monthly. She has been active in developing various brain games and introduced various forms of cognitive training to improve members' cognitive skills.
