ADNZ National Conference 2015
 

This year ADNZ has various tours on offer. A time to relax and enjoy the local hospitality of Christchurch, these optional tours are not to be missed. All tours are included in the full registration_

Open Studio_Wednesday 28th October_(optional)



Meet the local members and learn a little about their approach to architecture in the Christchurch context. A cluster of practices will be open in both the Central City and in the Ferrymead area for those that wish to explore the eastern suburbs.

There will also be guided walking tours throughout the city, and tours of extraordinary completed sites and some sites under construction.  Details of exact locations and times will be given at registration.

Numbers will be strictly limited, registration is essential.


Walking Tour_Wednesday 28th October_(optional)




Local members Rob Hull, Mitchell Coll and Cymon Allfrey have organised a 4km city walk taking in many of the sites of the Christchurch Rebuild. The tour will be guided by Rob and Mitchell who will be sharing local knowledge and their experiences along the route. The tour is an easy paced 4km walk, suitable for all levels of fitness. The walk begins at the conference venue and finishing near the location of our opening cocktail event.

Afternoon Tour_
Thursday_29th October_

Take the afternoon to mix and mingle with other accompanying persons of the ADNZ National Conference. Tour of the Tannery a boutique shopping emporium and Lunch at Gustav’s with a short talk about the history of The Tannery


Saturday Tour_Saturday 31st October_(optional)



A most incredible tour of two Award winning designs; Rockhill Residence designed by Robert Weir, SiloStay designed by Pippin Wright-Stow followed by the unique opportunity to visit the PurePods, and then a guided tour of Sir Miles Warrens’ remarkable gardens at Ohinetahi.  The tour ends at Strange’s Lane designed by Shepphard & Rout. Includes transport, lunch and afternoon tea.
