Why You Should Attend This Conference

Senior representatives of all sectors of the precious metals markets will be in attendance at the LBMA/LPPM Precious Metals Conference, the premier event in the industry calendar. Now in its 13th year, the Conference adds insight into the vital issues affecting the precious metals markets.

At the 2011 Precious Metals Conference in Montreal, Canada, we sold out the Conference for the third year in a row, with another record attendance of 535 registered delegates from 38 countries. This year we look forward to another record-breaking attendance including dealers and central bankers, as well as consultants, investors, refiners, miners and fabricators.

For the first time, the 2012 Conference will take place over two full days.  It will start with networking events on the Sunday afternoon, with the formal proceedings starting on Monday morning and finishing on Tuesday afternoon. Networking opportunities will begin on the Sunday afternoon with an informal event by the pool at the Grand Hyatt hotel, followed by an evening Welcome Reception. The Reception will be co-sponsored by the Shanghai Gold Exchange (SGE) and the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SFE). Lunch on the Monday will be sponsored by the International Enterprise (IE) Singapore followed in the evening by a Cocktail Reception and Conference Dinner in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, which will be sponsored by the Chinese Gold & Silver Exchange Society (CSGE).

An excellent programme of high quality speakers will be providing their unique insight into the major issues affecting the Precious Metals markets. Speakers include Xie Duo, General Director of the People’s Bank of China, Professor Yu Yongding, from the Institute of World Economics and Marc Faber, editor and publisher of the “Gloom, Boom & Doom Report” and Jamie Sokalsky, CEO of Barrick Gold Corporation.
