OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY (OH&S) |
Occupational Health & Safety is a major priority for Diversified Exhibitions Australia and the PCEC. Diversified Exhibitions Australia will aim to create and maintain a safe working environment for all contractors, exhibitors and visitors. To comply with these standards please note the following requirements in relation to your participation in the Expo.
The PCEC has a “No Smoking” policy inside the exhibition halls. Exhibitors are therefore requested not to smoke whilst inside the exhibition halls.
Western Australian Worksafe regulations require that every person who is on site during the stand construction or dismantle phase of the exhibition work must hold a current Safety Awareness Training certificate (also known as a 'Blue Card'). To avoid the need for all exhibitors to obtain a Blue Card, the organiser’s have divided the stand construction from the stand dressing (i.e. stock up and decoration of stand) phase of the move in and move out. Space only exhibitors are encouraged to enforce this deadline with their contractors.
All contractors and space only stand builders must complete a safety awareness training course if they have not done so already. To complete the training for this blue card please visit www.bluedogtraining.com.au. You will need to put aside 4 hours to complete the course. The cost is $90 to receive the card and ‘Statement of Attainment’ within 5 working days (Card and ‘Statement of Attainment’ will follow in the post within 5 working days) or $120 to receive the ‘Statement of Attainment’ returned by fax in 1 working day. For further information about the course contact Blue dog Training on Tel: 07 3166 3900 or fax: 07 3166 3954.
Please take note of the following:.
Please ensure that if you are booking a SPACE ONLY site that you provide the name of your stand builder for custom built stands by completing the Stand Construction / OH&S Form. All Stand builders must forward a copy of their OH&S policy to Diversified Exhibitions Australia before they will be permitted on site.
