Stand cleaning is included in the charge for exhibition space. Stand floors are cleaned and rubbish bins are emptied daily by the contracted cleaners. Please ensure all rubbish is placed in the aisle at the end of each day.

RUBBISH
The Organisers will provide rubbish bins in the aisles for visitor waste. However exhibitors generating waste through activities such as sampling should provide additional bins for their own stand either by their own supply or through Perth Expohire.

SUSTAINABLE RECYCLING
Diversified Exhibitions is committed to sustainability and is working closely with all venues to improve, amongst other things, the reduction of landfill created by the waste generated at our shows. We are now separating as much waste as possible to maximize the resource recovery of recyclable materials. Given the tight time frames involved in the exhibition industry, this resource recovery is unfortunately far more expensive than normal waste disposal. Currently, approximately 45% of waste is diverted from landfill. We have a target of 60% diversion by 2010. This will require significant investment in sorting technology and significant investment in education of exhibitors and their contractors on what materials to use in building a stand, in what is given to visitors and what is left at the end of an exhibition.

Our sustainability levy goes directly to meet the additional costs involved in sorting the recyclable materials from the non-recyclable to reduce the landfill and therefore reduce greenhouse emissions caused by landfill.
