ACCESS
EXHIBITORS & CONTRACTORS

Car Park Access
Access to PCEC Car Park, operated by the City of Perth, is via Mill Street, Mounts Bay Road and the Mitchell Freeway, Riverside Drive-Off Ramp.

Loading Dock Access
Please note that the move-in is strictly scheduled. Any exhibitors requiring access to the loading dock must complete the compulsory move in and out form.

Access to the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre (PCEC) for exhibitors and contractors during build-up and dismantling is via the loading dock at the rear of the exhibition halls. Access is from Mounts Bay Road at the spring street intersection. The access ramp and driveway for the loading docks is a one-way directional system and traffic must exit from the eastern exit. The speed Limit is 10kph on the dock. A truck holding area is located off Mounts Bay Road, below the Mitchell Freeway and will be in operation during move-in and move-out. Please note the exhibition will occupy Pavilions 1 – 6 and loading dock doors will be open according to demand.

All Exhibitors and contractors must be aware of the following:
  • All vehicles, equipment and personal belongings are subject to random search by the PCEC security on entering and exiting the venue.
  • All drivers of vehicles who request access to the loading docks must produce to the PCEC security staff their drivers licence to verify their identity.
  • There is no parking available to contractors or exhibitors on the loading dock during the move-in and move-out operation.
  • All vehicles entering the PCEC loading dock will be issued with a 15 minute unloading permit. Please advise loading dock staff if a longer time is required.
  • Access into the PCEC for move-in and/or move-out will be via the downstairs car park (for hand carried items) and via the loading dock for equipment and large items. Under no circumstances should event equipment be moved in or out via front of house or public areas. This includes the plaza at the front entrance to the pavillons.
  • Exhibitors are encouraged to use the downstairs car park during the move-in and move-out period for all hand carried items to avoid lengthy delays on the loading dock. There are service lifts from the car park.
  • No access will be permitted via the loading dock doors during the operational hours of an event.
  • By Law, all emergency exits leading to the loading dock are to remain clear at all times.
  • All ramps, driveways and thoroughfares will be marked “tow away” zones.
  • The loading dock is classified as a tow-away zone and infringement notices will be issued to vehicles that have exceeded the time limit.
  • The PCEC accepts no responsibility for the safety of vehicles and their contents within PCEC premises.
  • Vehicles are only allowed to stand temporarily on the loading dock for loading / unloading. Any vehicles left on the loading dock will be subject to parking fines. All signage on loading dock is to be strictly adhered to.
Occupational Health & Safety regulations strictly prohibit children under 15 years of age from being on-site during the build-up and move-out periods. This means that children are not permitted in the venue at anytime during build-up and move-out and we apologise for any inconvenience.

It is mandatory that all contractors and exhibitors onsite during build up and breakdown wear safety vests. This includes any person accessing the loading dock. These must be worn on the loading dock, in the halls and car park during move in and move out periods and when any plant or machinery is operating. We strongly suggest you bring your own vest. Limited vests will be available from the loading dock and the entry doors at the front of the exhibition, they are available on a first come first served basis please return them when you leave.

On show open days Exhibitors will have access to the exhibition via the front doors of the Pavilions. Exhibitors may enter up to two hours prior to the opening time. Deliveries can be made 2 hours before the show opens each day through the rear Loading Dock door also open 1 hour after the show closes.

VISITORS

During the Expo visitors will have access to the exhibition via the front doors of Pavilion 4. Public car parking is located below to the venue. The PCEC car park fills very quickly we highly recommend visitors make use of the free shuttle bus service from Ozone Reserve.
