Helping you be active regularly

The Heart Foundation has Australia’s largest network of community-based walking groups with over 18,000 active members and more than 1,200 free walking groups throughout the country. Find out how to join or start a group in your area or workplace.

Helping you access health professionals

The Heart Foundation provides free health advice to all Australians through our Health Information Service. Helping you stay healthy at work

Most of us spend an average of eight hours per day at work – we all need to make sure we look after our wellbeing in the workplace as well. Here are some Heart Foundation resources to help you stay healthy at work.

Healthy Workplace Guide
To help organisations improve employee wellbeing, we’ve developed, in collaboration with Cancer Council NSW and the University of Sydney, the Healthy Workplace Guide. This guide provides easy-to-follow steps for workplaces to plan, develop and implement a health program. You can learn about the workplace wellness program implemented by the Heart Foundation here. Research shows that a healthy workplace has many benefits for employees including improved productivity, greater employee engagement, reduced absenteeism and healthier, more satisfied employees. Talk to your Human Resources Manager about making some healthy changes in your workplace.

Healthy Workplace Catering
Looking to get catering for your next function? You can have healthier food in the workplace with our healthy catering guidelines, and help promote better food choices for your staff and clients.

Heart Foundation Walking
Australia’s largest network of free community-based walking programs welcomes you! The Heart Foundation can help you set up a group for your workplace, including training, resources and support, plus incentives for you and your walkers! Find out more about starting a walking group for your workplace – it’s a great way for you and your colleagues to spend quality time together.
