Posters will be up for the duration of the conference in a central location for ease of viewing. There will be several poster viewing sessions throughout the day:

Session 1 - 10:00 am to 10:30 am
Session 2 - 12:06 pm to 1:30 pm
Session 3 -   3:00 pm to 3:30 pm


POSTER COMPETITION (Student / Trainee / Residents only)
 
A select number of trainee posters has been included in the poster competition.  Abstracts accepted for the poster competition have been notified of a specific time when judges will review the poster. Please be sure that that the presenting author is present at the poster for the judging process during these times. Be prepared to provide a 5-minute oral summary of your poster to facilitate discussion and answer questions.
The poster presenter is also expected to be at their poster during the other times to facilitate discussing and answer question from delegates.
 
Poster judging will take place during:
Session 2 - 12:06 pm to 1:30 pm (P#1, P#2, P#3, P#4, P#5, P#6, P#7)
Session 3 - 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm (P#8)
 
 
STUDENT AND RESIDENTS AWARDS CEREMONY - 4:30 pm to 5:00 pm (Grand Ballroom)
 
The following awards will be available:

  • Jack MacDonell Prize: for the best scientific presentation by a subspecialty resident (Geriatric Medicine PGY4, PGY5 or Family Medicine Care Of the Elderly PGY3) at the CGS Annual Scientific Meeting. (This category will not be open to graduate students.)
  • Willard and Phoebe Thompson Award: for the best scientific presentation by a medical student, health professional student,  or undergraduate degree student  at the CGS Annual Scientific Meeting.
  • Réjean Hébert Canadian Institutes of Health Research – Institute on Aging Prize: for the best scientific presentation by a post-graduate medical trainee (General Internal Medicine  PGY1, PGY2, PGY3 or Family Medicine PGY1, PGY2)  at the CGS Annual Scientific Meeting.
  • Edmund V. Cowdry Award: for the best scientific presentation by a Masters, PhD or post-doctoral student.
  • CGS Poster Awards (3) – for any trainee or student

Poster set up: Friday, April 19, 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm OR Saturday, April 20, 6:30 am to 7:00 am.
