61st FOMIS Conference (21040-204)

        61st FOMIS Conference June 15-17, 2015

(Fossil Operations & Maintenance Information Service)

Welcome and thank you for choosing to be part of our 61st FOMIS Conference.  At this conference attendees will connect with experienced power plant personnel and global industry experts to learn about current issues facing the industry and what other plants are doing to resolve these problems.  This year’s conference offers technical presentations, benchmarking sessions, daily interactive discussion topic forums and a vendor exhibit.  As we continuously work to provide improvements to the structure of the conference we have a new and exciting format.

This conference is a must attend event.  The conference begins Monday morning with an option to attend the Safety roundtable or The technical training workshop, followed by an evening poolside welcome reception and two full days of Technical Sessions.

NEW FOR 2015! – Advanced Training Offered at the FOMIS Conference

As a direct response to customer requests, we are introducing a full day of training (Monday, June 15) prior to the kick-off of the FOMIS Conference on Tuesday.  You spoke – we listened.  This year, we are pleased to have one of our new Preferred Expertise Provider (“PEP”) members – WEG, Inc. – as the training provider for this first-time event at our annual gathering.  There is no added cost to attend this training class.

This one day workshop will address the significant improvement to power plant availability, efficiency, and reliability that can be achieved through improved large electric motor driven pumping systems design, installation, and operation.  Participants will benefit from better understanding of the selection, installation, operation, maintenance, and testing of pumping systems, with a focus on motor reliability.  Click here to download a printable version of the agenda.

NEW FOR 2015! – Power Plant Safety Session at the FOMIS Conference

Based upon feedback from the power plant safety community, we are pleased to announce the return of a Power Plant Safety Session on Monday, June 15th, prior to the start of the 61st FOMIS Conference on Tuesday, June 16th.

This one day event will address the issues of concern for power plant generation safety professionals.  Participants will benefit from a round table style discussion of topics such as safety culture, regulatory compliance, and observation and incentive programs, as well as specific questions and concerns solicited from registered attendees.

There is no added cost to attend the safety-day roundtable, but you must indicate that you are attending the Plant Safety Session during the registration process for the conference.  The conference this year will also contain relevant safety topics and breakouts.  Agenda coming soon.
