Andy is the Creative Services Leader for Arizona Public Service (APS) and President of InSource, the association of in-house creative services managers and leaders.

An inspired design & creative business leader accomplished at driving strategy, process, and development for creative teams, Andy has a strong record in building, managing, and leading teams that deliver exceptional business results and creative ideas.

 Andy is passionate about the creative process and how it can be used to drive strategic business goals. He has been delivering thought leadership, creative solutions, and design thinking for nearly 20 years.

He’s held in-house positions at major national and international brands such as Banana Republic, Gap, and the National Football League. He managed his own design consultancy for nearly 10 years before returning in-house in 2007 to establish and lead the design team at KPMG’s headquarters in New Jersey. In 2012 Andy relocated to Phoenix, Arizona to build and lead the in-house creative services team of design and video professionals at Arizona Public Service (APS).

In addition to his BFA in Graphic Design from the School of Visual Arts, Andy holds a Masters Degree in Design Management from Pratt Institute. He taught Design Management in the Graduate Communications Design program at Pratt and undergraduate design courses at Rowan University, and currently teaches brand strategy at the Art Institute of Phoenix.

He has been a panelist at HOW Design Live and has led roundtables on career paths, metrics, proving value for in-house teams, the in-house / outside agency relationship, and managing change within the in-house team. He was co-editor of the InHOWse design blog and advisor to HOW University, prior to being asked to co-direct the 2015 in-house program.
