On 16 - 18 April 2015 The Muscular Dystrophy Association of NZ in conjunction with the Australasian Neuromuscular Network (ANN) are hosting an international conference themed Life without Limits. A milestone event, this will be a worldwide cutting-edge exposition of the latest in science, medicine and research into neuromuscular conditions.
To be held at SKYCITY Auckland, Life without Limits provides a significant opportunity to showcase your brand, your products and services to a hard-to-reach audience of potential buyers. Life without Limits neuromuscular conference will provide an opportunity for families affected by neuromuscular conditions, clinicians, researchers, and allied health professionals to get together, share progress and ideas and participate in informative breakout and training sessions.
Our conference theme, Life without Limits, is about empowering families through knowledge about the rare conditions they live with, supporting clinicians and researchers to make the best choices for their patients, who are often experts on their own particular condition, and engendering Tūmanako (hope). Beneath this overall theme, three sub-themes have been developed, with each involving key-note presenters and speakers of excellent calibre. These sub-themes are:
- Learning from the past - current best practice for neuromuscular conditions.
- Looking to the future - the latest in neuromuscular research.
- What’s it like? – living with a neuromuscular condition. Perspectives from siblings, parents, children, carers and people diagnosed with neuromuscular conditions.
