AECOM is dedicated to creating, enhancing and sustaining the world's built, natural and social environments. Our designers, engineers, economists, planners, scientists, cost consultants and project managers use their expertise and commitment to excellence to craft innovative solutions to make the world a better place. This global collaborative community draws on a network of 45,000 staff in over 150 countries to assure positive outcomes for clients in market sectors as diverse as commercial property, infrastructure, education, culture, healthcare, sports, leisure and residential.

We work with emerging and developed cities around the world to create environmentally, socially and economically sustainable solutions to challenges brought about by rapid urbanisation and climate change. By harnessing this knowledge and experience, we are able to deliver projects that improve quality of life by making it easier to get around a city, create better workplaces, provide well-designed homes, enhance public spaces, and help deliver better utilities such as energy and water. Above all, AECOM aims to develop solutions that answer local needs. We know the importance of local context, local culture, local climate, and help people play an active role in shaping their future.

SUPPORTING PARTNERS

Blue & Green Tomorrow wants to support innovative businesses that balance the needs of the planet, its people and our prosperity. We aim to provide our readers with the knowledge they need to make informed choices without prejudice, scaremongering or greenwash. We want the world to be as blue and green tomorrow as it was yesterday. We believe that everyone can play a part and anyone can make a difference. Not by going back through misplaced nostalgia to some bygone age, but by striding out to a bright new future in which we take advantage of the new approaches that can improve our quality of life, the food we eat, the air we breathe, the water we drink and the land we live on.

AMMA is Brazil's first tree to bar chocolate company, growing its cacao amidst the biodiversity of the Atlantic Rainforest, in Southern Bahia. Founder Diego Badaró is the fifth generation in a family of cacao growers, being a pioneer in niche chocolate making in the region. Bahia has once been the world's leader in cacao production, but that came to an end in the 1990s when fungal plague Witches' Broom devastated the plantations, leading most farmers to abandon their lands. Mr Badaró decided to invest in the rebirth of Bahian cacao, implementing organic agriculture and post harvest procedures in his farms, besides relentlessly researching the chocolate market worldwide. In 2010, he and partners Luiza Olivetto and Frederick Schilling released the first bars to the market, and AMMA has been praised in Brazil and abroad ever since, due to its high quality and environmental role in the preservation of the Atlantic Rainforest.
