Day One: CPT Procedure Coding

Hear the rules for Cardiology invasive procedure coding then apply the concepts learned to challenging case studies. 

Topics will include:

 

  • Invasive and Interventional Peripheral Vascular Procedures
  • EP Studies, Ablations and Device implants
  • Coronary diagnostic and intervention procedures
  • Non-invasive diagnostics (Echo, Nuclear Medicine, Holters, Event Records, etc.)

 

Day Two: 

Diagnosis Coding
Are you coding to the highest level of specificity contained in your documentation? Or are you coding higher? More specific than your documentation supports? Join us for ½ day focused on diagnosis coding – application of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding.

Evaluation and Management Services
Evaluation and Management (E/M) codes are the most commonly billed codes and continue to be one of the most challenging areas with struggles interpreting guidelines, levels of service, modifiers and regulations. 

Some topics that will be covered:

 

  • Evaluate the differences and the impact of the 1995 and 1997 guidelines
  • Review and code specific E/M examples based on documentation in the record
