DEİK, the Turkish private sector’s gateway to foreign countries, was founded in 1986 to follow the economic, commercial, industrial and financial relations of the Turkish private sector with foreign countries and international organisations and to help to initiate and improve these relationships. DEİK started its operations in 1987. DEİK operates through bilateral Business Councils and as of January 2014, includes 115 Business Councils within 8 regional coordinatorships and 42 Founding Organisations.
