Emergencies—ranging from infectious disease outbreaks to natural disasters—present complex and evolving challenges for workplace health and safety. Join the Northern California Centers for Occupational and Environmental Health for a two-day symposium designed to empower professionals with tools and strategies to navigate crises with confidence.
Delve into the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance and examine best practices for mitigating infectious disease risks in the workplace. Identify vulnerabilities to natural disasters like earthquakes and design evidence-based preparedness strategies to safeguard workers. Engage in workshops on emergency planning and response, exploring the power of interdisciplinary collaboration and community-based approaches to enhance communication.

Thursday, February 6th (Online) - Leverage the convenience of remote learning with a live stream and panel Q&A on emerging research and treatment updates, with the opportunity to view recorded lecture content in advance.
Friday, February 7th (In-Person, Berkeley, CA) - Join us in person for a day of interdisciplinary collaboration, scenario-based workshops, and networking. Connect with peers from medicine, nursing, industrial hygiene, occupational safety, and allied disciplines to improve emergency action planning and to engage in discussions around preparedness gaps and actionable next steps.

Audience:
This symposium is intended for occupational and environmental health and safety professionals and clinicians including MD / DO, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, registered environmental health specialists, industrial hygienists, certified safety professionals, ergonomists, researchers, and other allied health professionals.
