Session Description:  Cybersecurity governance and management have always been important pillars in an overarching risk management strategy. With the implementation of new cybersecurity disclosures requirements for public companies, these practices have gained an increased level of transparency and, as a result, scrutiny. During this session, we will review the current trends in cybersecurity risk, discuss the SEC cybersecurity disclosure requirements, and observe the trends in disclosures in the 6+ months following the implementation of the requirements. We will share perspective on Internal Audit’s role in these critical functions as well as key areas of awareness for compliance with the SEC’s disclosure requirements. After this session, participants will be able to

• Gain an understanding of current cybersecurity trends
• Learn about the requirements for SEC cybersecurity disclosures
• See emerging trends in cybersecurity disclosures in 10k and 8k filings
• Review recent SEC clarifications related to Cybersecurity disclosure
• Identify key questions and areas of focus for Internal Audit
