THE WOMANIST LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE (WLI)
The Womanist Leadership Institute (WLI) is co-sponsored by The Katie Geneva Cannon Center for Womanist Leadership and the Leadership Institute of Union Presbyterian Seminary. This program is a series of online courses to promote and support Womanist scholarship and leadership within a continuing education and lifelong learning environment.
Course participants have an opportunity to receive a certificate of completion per course, as well as complete the Womanist Leadership Institute program. See the WLI Certificate Program tab for more info.

Course Format
Courses meet weekly synchronously via Zoom. Course assignments will be posted on Blackboard, the seminary's learning management system. Login credentials will be provided for Blackboard.
The face-to-face component of the Womanist Leadership Institute program will be done using the Zoom video conferencing program. Zoom is a web-based app and no purchase is necessary. Access to the following technology is required:
- Internet Connection (broadband wired or wireless, with 3G or 4G/LTE)
- Speakers and a microphone (built-in, USB plug in, or wireless Bluetooth)
- A webcam (built in or USB plug in)
Course Completion
Continuing education units (CEUs) will be awarded to those participants who complete each course; however, course grades and degree credits will not be provided. To complete the course and receive a certificate of completion, all course requirements must be met as outlined in the course syllabus.

$175 per course

Each course will include 1-2 required text(s) for purchase in addition to the course tuition fee.
Participants are able to cancel their registration any time prior to the start of the class for a refund, less a $25 cancellation fee.
Feel free to register separately or for multiple courses. Registrations for each course will be accepted up until 7 a.m. on the day the course begins as space allows.
If a course reaches maximum registration capacity, a waiting list will be started. We do encourage adding your name to a waiting list, as cancellations do occur frequently.
