What is Target Training?
Target Training is a premier consumer engagement training for Farm Bureau members from any state who are passionate about sharing agriculture with the general public. This event occurs in even years and is hosted by the AFBF Promotion & Education Committee.
Where is Target Training taking place?
All Target Training events, with the exception of pre-training tours, will take place at the Hyatt Regency Columbus in Columbus, OH.
What airport should I fly into when attending Target Training?
The Hyatt Regency is about a 10-minute cab/Uber ride from the John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH).
Will there be food at the Welcome Reception?
Light refreshments will be provided during the Welcome Reception. It is recommended that attendees explore Columbus to have dinner on their own before coming to the Welcome Reception.
What is the Farm Bureau Promotion & Education program?
The American Farm Bureau Promotion & Education program supports the American Farm Bureau mission by centralizing resources that inspire and equip Farm Bureau members to convey the significance of agriculture. The AFBF P&E Committee is developing a rigorous program of work that focuses on enhancing consumer engagement efforts and providing increased support for state Farm Bureaus. We recognize that engaging with consumers is critical to the future of our industry and we look forward to a bright future for the Promotion and Education program.
Is there a cost associated with the pre-training industry tours?
The tours and trainings are included in your registration cost.
Do I have to attend the advocacy training that follows the conclusion of Target Training?
The advocacy training that is offered from 1-5 PM on Saturday March the 23rd is free and serves as an optional opportunity. This training is not hosted by the AFBF P&E Committee. AFBF Staff are offering this training as an added educational experience that will take place following the conclusion of Target Training.
