The IIA Nashville Chapter is offering special, discounted instructor-led courses to provide an in-depth examination of the material for each Certified Internal Auditor exam part in an in-person classroom format. The IIA has provided a structured course syllabus to allow your instructor to guide you through a set syllabus and assignments to ensure you stay on track to complete your studies and successfully pass each part of the CIA exam. The in-person course will also allow your instructor to use class time to highlight important topics, share insights, and discuss questions and experiences with other CIA candidates across a variety of industries. The discounted price includes an instructor led course for each part, access to IIA's CIA Learning System and printed books.

The classes will be offered in three parts, allowing attendees to sit for the exam for each part between courses. Part 1 is being offered on July 20th and will be instructed by Kenny Schneider of Delek US at Delek US' training room in Brentwood, TN. Part 2 (one day) will be offered in September between the 11th and 18th. Part 3 (one day) will be offered in November between the 6th and 13th. Note, Part 2 and 3 locations, instructors, and specific training day will be sent out at a later date. Individuals have the option to signup for all three parts at a reduced price of a collective $900 or signup for each course individually for $400/course. IMPORTANT! Only those who register for all three parts during the initial June registration will be able to participate in the reduced price of $900 for all 3 courses. Bio

Part 1 - July 20th instructed by Kenny Schneider at Delek US in Brentwood TN

Kenny Schneider is a an engaging speaker who is passionate about equipping future internal audit leaders. He is a licensed CPA, is a Certified Internal Auditor, has been a member of the local Nashville IIA chapter for 11 years, and currently serves as the Director of Internal Audit at Delek US Holdings, a Fortune 500 company out of Brentwood, TN.

Over the past decade, Kenny has specialized in using quantitative data analysis, IT audit, SOX-audit, and operational audit techniques to drive efficiency and effectiveness in the Internal Audit function for Delek US Holdings. This presentation will be a hands-on walkthrough of key studying habits and concepts needed to pass the CIA exam Part I. Participants are be encouraged to share their personal internal audit stories and questions to make the training as engaging and thought-provoking as it can be.

Part 2 - September 14th instructed by Marcus Lavender at the Highland Ridge Tower, 12th Floor, in Nashville TN

Marcus Lavender is the Vice President of Audit & Advisory Services at Nashville-based Genesco, a footwear-focused retailer. He joined the Company as a Director in 2014 and became VP in 2018.

He is a graduate of David Lipscomb University, and the University of South Florida. He has held accounting and finance positions with Nashville-area companies in the healthcare, manufacturing and retail industries.

Part 3 - November 6th thru 13th (the specific day, location, and instructor for Part 3 of the CIA Training Course are still being assessed at this time and will be announced at a later date)

Cancellation requests must be submitted via Modify Registration Page (link provided in Confirmation Email and above). Partial refunds to cover the cost of materials will be given for cancellation requests received more than one week out from the event’s start date. Individuals that cancel will still be provided purchased materials and will have the opportunity to sign-up for Parts 2 and 3 at a later date. No refunds will be given for cancellation requests received within one week from the start of the event. Event “no-shows” will not be provided a refund. All requests for refunds will be processed within 30 days following the close of the event.
