This half day summit brings together current and prospective members, local businesses, and corporations to develop professional relationships and grow their acumen in the technology industry. It features networking, two industry panel discussions, vendor expo of products/services in the technology sector, and an exclusive tour of Ericsson's Imagine Studio for the first 40 attendees at the door. Light breakfast provided.


All are welcome to attend. You will need a government issued ID to enter the building. Parking is free in the attached open lot. 

The last day to register is Sunday, June 18. On-site registration is not available.

Tony Caesar
SVP IT and CIO
Cradlepoint (part of Ericsson)


Tony Caesar is Senior Vice President IT and CIO for Cradlepoint. Based in Plano, Texas. Caesar is responsible for Cradlepoint’s global enterprise IT environment, covering existing infrastructure, applications development, IT Security and rolling out new technologies to more than 1600 employees. 

Caesar joined Cradlepoint in 2023. A 30-year IT industry veteran, he has led national and global IT organizations across a variety of industries, including information and communications technology, banking, consumer products, manufacturing and distribution, and not-for-profit organizations.

Prior to his current role, Caesar was the Head of IT for Ericsson North America, Vice President and CIO of PrimeSource, one of the largest distributors of building materials in North America. He also has held senior leadership positions with HEAD USA, HTM East Coast, Penn Racquet Sports, Easton-Bell Sports, and Master Halco Inc.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Baruch College in New York.

 
Betty Manetta

Beatriz (Betty) Manetta is President and CEO of Argent Associates Inc., a tech-centric, software development and integration firm with a national footprint and main offices in Edison, NJ and Plano, TX.

Ms. Manetta holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Marketing from Rutgers University and a Master of International Studies from Seton Hall University. She was the recipient of the Beta Gamma Sigma Award from Seton Hall for her significant contributions to the strength and vitality of the economy combined with her business service achievement to humanity.

Ms. Manetta spent over 20 years in Corporate America, primarily in the telecommunications industry, before leaving to launch Argent Associates Inc., in 1998. During her corporate career, she held national and international assignments in technical support, sales, human resources and quality management and control.

Named as one of the TOP STEM 100 Executives in the nation, Ms. Manetta believes true business success is interdependent upon the success of the community. She takes her commitment to continuous learning and social responsibility seriously. Ms. Manetta is a champion of ethnic minority, women and small business education and engagement. She served on President George W. Bush’s President’s Export Council, where she advised on international trade matters and their impact on small, women and minority businesses and chaired the sub-committee of Technology and Innovation.

Betty Manetta is committed to continuous learning and social responsibility. She is a champion and advocate of minorities, women and youth around STEM Initiatives.  She serves on numerous boards at the local state and national level.

Ms. Manetta serves on several boards including D/FW MSDC, where she is the MBEIC Chair, Tech Titans, TIA, Seton Hall University Board of Regents, QuEST Forum, U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Women’s Business Council Southwest. She has received numerous awards locally and nationally for her leadership and commitment to excellence.

 
James McCombs
Head of Sourcing Data & Analytics

James R. McCombs is a highly accomplished professional with expertise in designing and deploying analytics, IT, sourcing, and leadership strategies within companies to realize their full potential. He has a comprehensive skill set that includes Agile Methodologies, Data Science, and Data Management, backed by certifications in Data Stewardship, SAFe Product Ownership/Management, Consultative Negotiations, and the Leading for Impact Program.

James has held various leadership roles at Ericsson, where he currently serves as the Head of Sourcing Data & Analytics. He was instrumental in forming a global sourcing data, analytics, and reporting organization from the ground up. He also successfully directed IT Sourcing and Sourcing Excellence, demonstrating his ability to innovate and streamline operations.

His tenure at Ericsson also saw him spearheading the Sourcing Excellence team and launching a sourcing category methodology that identified over $34.4 million in savings opportunity within its first year. His innovative use of Tableau for actionable analytics resulted in over $50 million in savings.

Before his time at Ericsson, James was with Goodman Networks where he led Supply Chain Analytics and held purchasing roles, demonstrating his ability to manage multimillion-dollar orders and improve supplier relationships.


James's career has been recognized with various awards, including the TCU Julie Wall Award for Outstanding Dedication, WBC SW Corporate Volunteer of the Year, and the Ericsson MANA Pinnacle Award in 2019.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems and Supply & Value Chain Management from the M.J. Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University.

James is not only passionate about leveraging analytics and sourcing methodologies for business impact but also in leading people and technology to their maximum potential. He is driven by a strong desire to create beneficial change within the people, process, and organization he is a part of, leveraging his dynamic speaking ability and advanced analytics to tell compelling stories that influence executive decision-making.

Brooke Waupsh is an award-winning marketer and recognized female founder in the tech start-up community, now driving impact through a corporate SaaS platform, Swoovy, igniting corporate community engagement, reviving culture, and strengthening the future of work.

Before Swoovy, Brooke was a key member leading an early-stage FinTech company to a successful exit after developing a national brand disrupting the space and elevating community banks and credit unions in a technology-driven world.

Brooke has a passion to be a changemaker, has mentored female entrepreneurs through a practicum course at the University of Texas McCombs School of Business as well as the Young Women’s Alliance, and has been featured by Texas CEO Magazine, named a “Female Disruptor” by Authority Magazine, and was a two-time finalist for Austin Under 40 awards for “Start-up and Innovation”.

All sales are final. In the event that the registrant can no longer attend, the unused registration is considered a donation to the Council.

Substitutions Welcome
If you have a conflict arise and can’t attend the event, another person may attend in your place at no charge.
