Ofsted Inspections of Work Based Learning 2013 & Lessons for Future Provision Event

Date:
Tuesday, 10 December 2013
Venue:
McDonald Burlington Hotel, City Centre Birmingham

Overview

With the publication of the new Chief Inspector’s Report (CIR) imminent, this timely AELP event will examine some of the most significant issues that have emerged from recent inspections across the sector.  The event will include reflections on the first year of inspections under the new inspection framework and arrangements. Delegates will hear about the effects of the changes to notice periods and the implications of the new relationship between the grade for teaching, learning and assessment and that for overall effectiveness among other things.

With very few outstanding providers so far under the new regime, all providers need to understand how Ofsted views the sector and what good or excellent provision looks like from an inspector’s point of view. This event provides an excellent opportunity to do this and to get underneath the headlines in discussion with a range of experienced HMI. How do independent providers and colleges compare? What makes a good apprenticeship? What are the risks in subcontracting? What are the implications of all this for your own inspection? How do we show ourselves in the best light when inspectors call?

This promises to be a lively day. Ofsted HM Inspectors will be the main contributors, offering their in depth experience and knowledge of what works best and what is in most need of improvement.

Attend this AELP event and you will have an excellent blueprint on how to aspire to be an outstanding provider or college.
