Workshop 1: Evaluating Teaching, Learning and Assessment Facilitated by Joy Montgomery HMI & Malcolm Fraser HMI - Ofsted |
The purpose of the workshop is to discuss and review how to evaluate teaching, learning and assessment. This will be an interactive workshop of interest to those involved in the management of teaching, learning and assessment. |
Workshop 2: Key Features of Successful English and Mathematics Provision Facilitated by Jan Lloyd HMI & Nigel Evans HMI, Ofsted |
This workshop will provide delegates with an opportunity to explore and develop a better understanding of the key features of successful English and mathematics provision to ensure it meets learners and employers’ needs. Delegates will be encouraged to review their current provision and identify any additional improvements. |
Workshop 3: Planning Successful and Relevant Apprenticeships Facilitated by Jo Parkman HMI & Phil Romain HMI, Ofsted |
This workshop aims to help delegates to identify the critical factors which make for successful apprenticeship programmes. The workshop will focus on those aspects of apprenticeships programmes which most often prove problematic; and will give delegates the opportunity to work together, sharing practice and ideas to arrive at practical solutions. |
Workshop 4: The Journey to Outstanding Facilitated by Crawford Knott & Kathryn Osborn, Hawk Training |
Following their Ofsted inspection at the end of September, Hawk Training became the first independent training provider in the country to be graded ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted under the new Common Inspection Framework. Come and hear more about Hawk’s journey from ‘good’ in 2008 to ‘outstanding’ in 2013 together with tips for best practice and the opportunity for Q&A. |
