CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Opens: 08 February 2016
Closes: 06 May 2016 (Late online submissions are still being accepted. Please email Prof. Claudia Polese after submitting your abstract to ensure that it is processed)
Notification to Authors Abstract Acceptance: 30 May 2016
ABSTRACT TOPICS
We welcome abstracts from the community against the following broad themes. The Conference Committee will consider abstracts that fall outside the areas explicitly mentioned here, but which are aligned with the overall aims of the conference series. In addition to papers that deal with applications from the core business of Laser Peening in the aerospace and power generation industries, we are particularly interested in research into the use of Laser Peening in power generation, automotive, marine, mining, and medical industries.
1. Basic phenomena and fundamental mechanisms
2. Process modelling and simulation
3. Experimental implementation of processes, process monitoring, visualisation and characterization techniques
4. Effects on mechanical properties and behaviour
5. Industrial applications: Aviation, Aerospace, Nuclear, Automotive, Civil Engineering, etc.
6. New laser systems for peening and novel process techniques and applications
7. Alternative and novel technologies or applications
