NASLEF 2022 Conference

Welcome to the 28th Annual NASLEF Conference

September 14-16, 2022

Hilton Burlington Lake Champlain, Burlington, Vermont

Our Mission and Impact: Local Presence with National Impact

NASLEF’s mission is to promote a greater understanding of tax credit and other financing programs, to advocate for community development resources, and to encourage the professional development of its member organizations—all in support of the communities we serve.

Our work is fueled by our members’ leadership in affordable housing advocacy, connection with community organizations, and knowledge of local markets. These organizational attributes enable NASLEF members to invest capital in strategic endeavors, especially in underserved markets.

NASLEF Active members are visible in the communities they serve by providing affordable housing opportunities, strengthening neighborhoods, and impacting the lives of residents. While the global pandemic and ensuing economic crisis may have altered the way the world does business moving forward, it has also provided opportunities for innovation, improvement, and advancement of equity and growth within our industry. NASLEF’s  2022 Conference will explore moving housing forward while sharing common challenges, implementing change within our industry, and seeking ways to innovate to provide opportunity.

CONFERENCE INFORMATION

Wednesday morning is designated for NASLEF Active Member Funds only who will participate in roundtables, designed to discuss NASLEF-related industry issues and provide networking opportunities. Join us Wednesday afternoon for a walking tour of affordable housing properties open to all attendees starting at 2:00pm. Relax at our Welcome Reception at the Hilton Burlington Lake Champlain Wednesday evening.

On Thursday, the conference is open to all attendees and begins with a Plenary panel of nationally recognized thought leaders and impact makers discussing housing production and how various states, cities, towns and counties seeking to increase the overall housing supply are reassessing their planning and zoning codes to facilitate smart growth and encourage affordable housing development. Panelists will also discuss the intersection of public policy and housing finance from a broader perspective and NASLEF members’ role around advocating for the Housing Credit and other policy changes.

Enjoy an interactive reception within walking distance of the hotel at the ECHO Leahy Center Thursday evening.

Spend Thursday and Friday networking with your colleagues while attending many more sessions and roundtables designed to encourage engagement and educational opportunities.
