Discover Ottawa Tour

Board your motor coach and let your professional tour guide introduce you to the Nation’s capital. Sit back and relax while you enjoy learning about the creation of the historic Rideau Canal. Enjoy the sites of the National Capital Region including the Parliament Buildings, the Supreme Court of Canada, the Bank of Canada and the Canadian War Museum. Cross the Ottawa River into the Province of Quebec and enjoy the architecturally impressive Canadian Museum of Civilization. You will see the National Gallery of Canada on the way to Rideau Hall, the official residence of the Governor General of Canada and 24 Sussex Drive, the official residence of the Prime Minister of Canada. 

    

Enjoy a picturesque drive through Gatineau Park, the Capital’s conservation park, on the way to enjoy wine tasting and lunch at Les Fougères located in the magnificent Gatineau Hills. After lunch, a short drive to enjoy a triple decker riverboat cruise along the Ottawa River. It is from this vantage point that you will experience the natural beauty of the region.

The High-Tech Rally and Discover the Byward Market

You’ve never seen a rally like this before! The High Tech Rally is a fast-paced race through the streets and sites of Ottawa, where teams must find clues, answer questions and complete team challenges to earn the most points possible in a race against the clock. Using 4G enable iPads, teams use a MapApp online game to get to special points of interest to answer questions and complete team challenges. Using the iPad’s integrated camera, photos are taken throughout the game to be shared and viewed at the celebration location, The Real Sports Bar, at the end of the game where companions can unwind with and have lunch.

    

Wrap up your memorable day with some creative jewelry-making fun at Sassy Beads and a walking tour of the Historical Byward Market where your guide will take you back in time with many stories of the market. The Byward Market is one of Canada’s oldest and largest open-air farmers’ markets, and is home to specialty shops, boutiques, galleries and more!

A Taste of Ottawa Tour

A short walk from the hotel to Parliament Hill, the seat of Canada’s government and the most recognized landmark in the Capital. Meet your Parliamentary Guide for a guided tour of Centre Block of Parliament and the magnificent Parliamentary Library. After the tour, board your motor coach for beer tasting and lunch at the Mill Street Brewery. A heritage building built in 1842, the oldest surviving stone mill building in Ottawa. The site and building offer unique views of the Capital.

   

After lunch, arrive at Rideau Hall, the historic home and workplace of the Governor General of Canada since 1867. You will visit the public rooms and grounds of Rideau Hall. Enjoy the many ceremonial trees that have been planted by foreign dignitaries from around the world.
