General Event Information

Q. When is Conference 2014?

    • Leaders only: Thursday, July 17 from 8:00AM to 1:00PM 
    • General Conference: Thursday, July 17 - 1:30PM to 5:00PM, 
    • Friday July 18 - 8:30AM to 9:00PM 
    • Saturday July 19 – 8:30AM to 5:00PM 
    • Elite Directors Day: Sunday July 20 – 10:00AM to 4:00PM

Q. Will French interpretation services be provided at Conference 2014?

Yes, French interpretation services will be provided for all general sessions.

Q. What does my registration fee include?

Q. How should I pack for Conference 2014?

Vancouver in July can be quite warm; however it can cool off in the evenings. Average temperatures are around 22 degrees Celsius. Our event will be held indoor where often temperature is difficult to manage. We recommend you bring light layers. Vancouver is known for some rain, so don’t forget to pack a light rain jacket.

Q. How do I get to the hotel from the airport? From the Ferry?

    • Driving Directions to the Vancouver Convention Centre can be accessed here

      *Please note: the average fare is $35.00 from the airport to downtown Vancouver.
    • The Canada Line Skytrain is also a great way to get from the airport to the convention centre with trains running throughout the day. Click here for directions. 

Q. Is downtown parking available?

Parking is available at the four hotels we have room blocks at. For more information contact the individual hotels.

Parking is also available at the Vancouver Convention Centre and several other lots nearby. For more information on parking near the Vancouver Convention Centre click here to visit their website. 

 * Please note parking fees do apply at all these lots.

Q. Will we have time to go explore Vancouver?

Conference 2014 is filled with fun events and networking opportunities. Out of respect for the family obligations and busy schedules of our Consultants, Epicure tries to pack as much fun and learning into as short a period as possible.

Q. Are there places to eat near the conference centre/hotel?

There are many restaurants within walking distance of the Vancouver Convention Centre, for suggestions click here.

Q. Are there babysitting services available?

Because it’s planned for adults, Conference 2014 does not provide a comfortable atmosphere for infants or small children. Keep in mind that child-care is not available; we therefore ask that you make alternative arrangements for your children.

Important note: The responsibility to make appropriate childcare arrangements, and any costs associated with such arrangements, are strictly your own.

Q. Can I come to Conference if I have disabilities?

Yes. Consultants with special needs are responsible for providing their own assistant, should they be required. Please contact events@epicureselections.com as soon as possible with the name and contact information of your attending special needs assistant.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: All Epicure events are fragrance-free events. Participants are asked to avoid perfumes and other fragrances that could affect persons with environmental illnesses or chemical sensitivities.


Registration

Q. How do I register for Conference 2014 online?

Register at www.epicconference2014.com . Simply click the registration category you would like on the right hand side of the page. RSVP before June 30th, 2014!

Q. What is the last day I can register for conference?

Registration closes June 30, 2014

Q. How do I cancel?

To cancel your Conference registration, please send an email to events@epicureselections.com

Please note the following: 

    • Registration cancellations up to and including June 1, 2014 will receive a refund, minus a $75 administration fee. 
    • No refunds will be given after that date. ·
    • All cancellations are subject to a $75 administration fee (including the pay by installment option). 
    •  Conference fees are non-transferrable (i.e. fees cannot be transferred to another Consultant or to a different event).

Q. Can I pay by installment?

Yes the pay by installment option is available for all registration categories. Pay a non –refundable $75 payment at the time of registration and the remainder on April 2nd, 2014. The deadline to register for the pay by installments option is March 1, 2014.

 

Q. Can I bring my partner or significant other?

You may only bring a guest to the Awards Gala, which takes place on Friday, July 18th, 2014. If you receive an invitation to the Epicure Soiree, the guest fee will include admittance to the Epicure Soiree. If you would like to bring your partner or significant other, please select the check box. The cost for a guest is $50. Please be aware this is an adult-only event.

 

Q. Do I get a discount for the hotel? If so, what code should I use?

Conference 2014 will be held at the Vancouver Convention Centre, 1055 Canada Place, Vancouver BC. Epicure has negotiated room rates with 4 hotels within walking distance of the Vancouver Convention Centre. Rates between $176 - $199 per night are available at the hotels below. Be sure to book by June 30th, 2014 in order to get the special group rate! For more information, visit the Accomodations tab at epicconference2014.com.



Destination Incentive

Q. Destination conference - Do I need to register for conference even if I plan to earn destination Conference?

You will need to register before the cut-off date June 30th. Please visit www.epicconference2014.com to register. Your registration payment will be refunded after the Destination incentive period ends and prior to Conference.

Q. Destination Conference/Delicious- Do I make my hotel reservation or will Epicure make the arrangement for me?

Consultants are responsible for making their own Hotel arrangements. Epicure will provide the appropriate dollar voucher/cheque directly to the achievers prior to Conference.

Q. Will I receive Destination points for attending Conference 2014?

Unfortunately no. Points are given to those who attended Conference 2013 and/or those who attend Leaders Retreat 2014.

Q. Will I receive Destination points when I register for the 2014 Leaders’ Retreat?

Those who attend the Leaders Retreat will earn Destination points. Points will be awarded after March 17th, 2014.

Q. Can I bring a guest with me for Destination Delicious?

No, Destination Delicious is a reward for achiever's only.

Q. Will destination delicious include transportation to the various venues?

 Yes, Destination Delicious will include all meals and tastings as well as transportation to all the different venues.




Recognition (by invitation events)


Q. How do I earn/get an invitation to the Wine and Dine, Leaders Only sessions and Directors and above Elite sessions?

To find out about how to earn your invitation to the Wine & Dine and/or the Epicure Soiree events refer to the Annual Conference Recognition Program posted on MyEpicure/Recognition tab. For invitation to Leaders or Director Elite sessions - refer to the Compensation & Reward Plan Brochure posted MyEpicure/ My Business.

Q. When will I find out if I have earned an invitation to one of the by invitation only events?

 Wine & Dine event - you will receive an official invitation when you promote yourself for the first time as a New Leader. Special invitations will be sent out by post and email prior to the conference if all criteria are met. Please refer to the Annual Conference Recognition Program on MyEpicure
