Welcome to the registration page for students, coaches, and volunteers participating in the Pennsylvania MATHCOUNTS state competition.

Please note, prior to registering, you will need to identify an emergency contact and dietary restrictions (if any) for each registrant. 

Registration deadline: 8:00 am March 10, 2022

Each individual must have a registered coach. 

Hotel Rooms: MATHCOUNTS has reserved a block of rooms at the rate of $70 per room for Friday night, March 18. Reserve your hotel room when you register for the competition. MATHCOUNTS will provide the rooming list to the hotel.The rooms are available to coaches, volunteers, and parents of MATHCOUNTS state competitors. (For those who attended prior MATHCOUNTS competitions, please note that MATHCOUNTS will no longer room students with students. If parents would like to make arrangements for their students to share a room, that is an option. Please call Jennifer Summers 717-441-6051 to discuss.) 

Hotel check-in is after 4 p.m.

The MATHCOUNTS registration desk will be open from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Friday and 7:00 am - 7:45 am on Saturday.

Students are not required to stay overnight at the hotel. The exam will begin promptly at 8:00 am Saturday. Students should plan to arrive no later than 7:45 am.

Substitutions: No substitutions will be permitted for students who cannot attend the state competition.

Teams: There will be no team competition at the state event.

COVID Protocol: All attendees – parents, coaches, students and volunteers - will need to wear a well-fitting mask over the nose, mouth, and under the chin, with no gaps around the sides.

Start Time: Students need to report to the testing room no later than 7:45 am on Saturday, March 19. The exam will begin at 8:00 am.

Meals: There is no MATHCOUNTS sponsored meal on Friday evening. There is a restaurant in the hotel and several nearby.

Breakfast will be provided Saturday morning for registered students, coaches, and volunteers. There will be tables and chairs in the ballroom, but the hotel will provide to-go boxes for those who prefer to eat in their room.

A Winners Luncheon will be provided on Saturday for the top four individuals, parents, coaches and coordinators of these students. Details of travel for the Pennsylvania team to the national competition as well as arranging practice dates will be reviewed at this luncheon.
