The NASA Educator Professional Development Collaborative at
Texas State University is providing a 1-hour webinar.

Participants will get an overview of resources from the My NASA Data website which may be used to explore a variety of Earth System phenomena and events using authentic data. We will provide a short overview of how to access data with the Earth System Data Explorer, as well as data analysis tools for your classroom. This webinar addresses the Next Generation Science Standards ESS2 and ESS3.

Discussion will include classroom modifications.

 
 

Elizabeth Joyner is a senior outreach coordinator on contract at NASA Langley Research Center through Science Systems Applications, Incorporated serving the My NASA Data program. In this position, Joyner combines her background in science and education to foster better understanding of Earth System Science for grades 3-12.
 

Sara Garcia-Torres currently serves as an EPD Specialist at NASA Ames Research Center. She works with educators, families, and community members to support STEM efforts. Her research interests include STEM education. She holds degrees from TSU (MEd), and UTSA (BA). Sara is also pursuing PhD studies at Texas State University.
