Teaching Social Justice in Comfortable Congregations and a Deeply Divided World

TEACHING SOCIAL JUSTICE IN COMFORTABLE CONGREGATIONS AND A DEEPLY DIVIDED WORLD

Online Workshop Session Description

Teaching social justice in comfortable congregations and a divided world is not an elective; it is the essence of what it means to live into our baptism. It is our privilege and our sacred responsibility to teach those who seek to follow in God's ways how to bridge the divide between the personal piety of beliefs and the public decisions and practices of our lives.

This 2-part Zoom workshop, along with the details of the sessions, are as follows:

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 4  | 11:30 A.M. EASTERN

Session 1

This session will provide a brief consideration of the biblical and theological foundations before moving on to constructing a framework for integrating justice into the teaching ministry of congregations and contexts for ministry.
