Description: The Covid-19 pandemic has altered and will continue to alter our traditions and understandings of human life, including, of course, the life of the church. As congregations continue to go back to their temples, it is our task to reflect on the meaning of this return. We believe this return entails a call from God to embrace a new time. In this sense, we are, indeed, “on the threshold of something new.” Biblical scholar Ricardo Foulkes reminds us that the call in Revelation to live anew implies a commitment to transform reality and not an impulse to evade it. This two-part event is an invitation to reflect on what this call to live anew might mean today.

Lecturer: Rubén Arjona (Union Presbyterian Seminary)

Liturgists: José Manuel Capella-Pratts, Vilmarie Cintrón-Oliveri, and Rosa Miranda
