Online Course Description:

This is an online course open to alumni of Union Presbyterian Seminary with either an M.Div., MACE, or M.Div./MACE degree. The course includes six (6) online class meetings on Monday evenings, 7-9 p.m. Eastern Time. It will be led by Dr. Carson Brisson, Associate Professor of Bible and Biblical Languages, Union Presbyterian Seminary.

In addition to the live class meetings, this course includes reading and written assignments. However, as a continuing education program, grades and degree credits will not be issued. Please note that the class meetings will not be recorded.

This online course is Part I of a two-part series. Part II will be released at a later date and is slated for Spring 2022. Participants in Part I will have the option to register for Part II when available. Participants are not required to take Part I and Part II in order to engage either part of the course.

Online Course Format:

Bi-weekly class meetings via Zoom technology, along with assignments posted on Blackboard, the seminary's learning management system. Login credentials will be provided. Registered participants will receive a Zoom meeting link the week prior to the course's first meeting. You do not need to buy a subscription to Zoom to participate in the course, but you do need access to the following technology:

  • Internet Connection | Broadband Wired or Wireless (3G or 4G/LTE)
  • Speakers and a Microphone | Built-in, USB Plug-in, or Wireless Bluetooth
  • A Webcam | Built-in or USB Plug-in
