MEET TRAINER MARK SHYNE

MARK SHYNE, MMEC Field Engineer
Mark is RABQSA Lead Auditor Certified (#7700839-94505) with over 25 years in product design, manufacturing operations management & consulting, and driving companies toward world class performance; tangible business growth and transformation for Montana companies. Since 1999 Mark has delivered over 300 projects to nearly 200 different companies, from high tech to sole-proprietorships. He serves as mentor and supervisor to graduate student engineers and engineering interns in the University Technical Assistance Program (UTAP) at MSU. In 2009, he received an MSU College of Engineering Excellence in Outreach Award. Mark is a member of the Manufacturing Roundtable Advisory Group of Prospera Business Network and serves on the Rocky Mountain Economic Development District Advisory Board. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Montana State University. Prior to earning his degree, he served four years in the US Navy, working in steam plant operations, welding, and firefighting. In addition to consulting, he has professional work experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer for United Technologies, Senior Operations Engineer for Allied Signal Aerospace, and Director of Engineering for Big Sky Laser Technologies.
