IFP Conference 2013

Ten reasons to attend the 2013 IFP Conference

Because there are so many conferences, it can be incredibly difficult to select the one that's right for you. Here are ten reasons we think you should join us for the IFP conference this year.

1. 96% of 2012 conference delegates would recommend the IFP conference
Here's what delegates were saying after last year's conference:
“Good value, good networking and a real community feeling.” Ruth Sturkey CFPCM, The Red House
“It is relevant, forward thinking and inspiring as well as educational in many different ways.”
Bruce Gow CFPCM, BGFP

2. Quality not quantity…big name speakers?
We could book famous, big name speakers to draw the crowds. However we think it’s more important that the programme adds real value so we work with planners and Paraplanners to make sure it does just that. Expect quality presenters who set the bar high for objective, educational content.

3. Value outside of the conference programme
The conference draws some of the best Financial Planners and Paraplanners in the country and from overseas too; often the greatest value of the conference is simply the people that you meet and talk to during breaks or during dinner and well into the night.

4. Interactive and relevant exhibition
Whilst people often see a conference exhibition as a scary experience, at the conference it’s a popular place to go and keep up to date (and it’s a great way to help you meet all your due diligence requirements too).

5. Come to the IFP AGM
As a member, shouldn’t you find out more about what IFP is doing so you can help us to shape the profession for the future as well as make the most of your membership too?

6. It’s been a sell out for the past three years
Not just that, many delegates tell us it’s the only major conference of the year they attend. Many IFP members attend year after year – and they learn something new every time!

7. Position yourself as an expert
By playing an active part in the Financial Planning community, you can develop a reputation as an expert to your peers and your clients. Come and meet journalists from the likes of New Model Adviser, Professional Adviser and Money Marketing. Clients feel good about doing business with those that are celebrated by their peers.

8. Never underestimate the power of a little fun mixed with meeting interesting people
Being in business should be rewarding and fun; all work and no play isn’t a good thing. The social aspects of the conference are just as important and the good food and entertainment is sure to provide plenty of talking points for further networking during the evenings.

9. A one stop shop for over 10 hours of varied, high quality, structured CPD
All the sessions are accredited with structured CPD and we’ve got all categories covered including three hours of ethics.

10. There’s so many more than ten reasons why you should attend so this one's a bit of a cheat…
You can also have a headshot taken by photographer John Cassidy, find out who’s won awards this year, visit the bookstall and pick up signed copies of speakers’ books, enter the exhibitor competitions and see what prizes you can win.

It’s one not to be missed as you are sure to get so much out of it. Book today.
