With our Women Owned Wednesday events, each month we will feature a different speaker from an Austin WBE or woman-owned business, who will speak about their business and share valuable insights from which we can learn. We hope this lunch and learn will be a great opportunity to make lasting connections and learn new skills to incorporate into your business and professional career. Register today!

Featuring Maya Ingram, Statewide HUB Program Manager

Join WBCS and Statewide HUB Program Manager, Maya Ingram, for a discussion about HUB certification and HUB resources that can help in the success of doing business with the State of Texas agencies and universities. HUB resources include: Centralized Master Bidders List (CMBL); Electronic State Business Daily (ESBD); HUB Directory; NIGP profiles; and how to use the Annual HUB reports for establishing a business development plan.

Maya Ingram
Statewide HUB Program Manager

With over 14 years of state service and 23 years of legislative and consulting services, Maya Ingram, as the current Manager of the Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Program at the Comptroller of Public Accounts, leads the program in education, outreach and small business certifications to build new procurement partnerships between the state entities and the certified HUBs.

Maya has enjoyed tremendous career progression in procurement, contracting and HUB related positions. She most recently served at Health and Human Services Commission as a Special Advisor to the Deputy Executive Commissioner of the Procurement and Contracting Division participating in a wide range of procurement and contracting improvement projects and other oversight responsibilities including stepping in as the agency's Interim HUB Coordinator while assisting in the search and hire of a new HUB Director. At the Texas Facilities Commission she was the agency's Director of External Affairs and Communication. As Statewide HUB Marketing Coordinator she prepared a large-scale Statewide Marketing and outreach plan aimed at increasing HUB certification to small businesses and providing event coordination and compliance training to statewide HUB Coordinators. 
 
Maya attended the University of Texas at Austin and has furthered her skills through continuing education and certification programs in Public Communication and Issues Management through the UT School of Public Affairs Professional Development Programs; and maintains her State Procurement and Contract Development (CTCD) Certification. She manages the family working ranch as a side gig and considers her family to be her greatest joy but adds her tractor, 8 grandchildren, 6 horses, and 4 dogs keep her young.

This event is open to everyone and all are welcome!
We will host these events virtually through July of 2021 with hopes of returning to safe in-person gatherings. We are dedicated to the safety of our attendees and will continue to be transparent and update our events as we gain more insight into the year. 
The cost to attend this event regardless of membership type, is $15.
