What is Table Topics?

Our virtual Table Topics feature networking!
Table Topics is a monthly event (February through November) held via Zoom Meeting
that features small group virtual networking and a keynote speaker
focused on communication, business development, or personal development.
For the first 30 minutes of the event, attendees are broken out into small groups to foster connections.
No topic of discussion. Simply time to network.

Taking the “Difficult” Out of Difficult Conversations

Difficult conversations are not easy; in fact, most people avoid them. Valerie will present her Five Step Approach to increase your effectiveness and improve your composure during the conversation. Using case studies from real situations, she details how her approach, with its focus on preparation and assertive communication skills, will help you achieve the desired outcome.

Valerie Pelan, MBA, PCC, Leadership Coach
Integrated Focus


Valerie has been coaching for 15 years. Her PCC coaching certification is from International Coaching Federation (ICF) and University of Texas Dallas. Her coaching focuses on improving her client’s leadership presence, communication skills, and self-confidence. Her clients report that coaching unlocked their potential to maximize their own performance and effectiveness.

Clients choose Valerie because she has experience in leadership and as an entrepreneur. She acts as a sounding board for her clients providing a confidential and solution focused coaching session to discuss their important challenges. Valerie’s clients come from a variety of industries, government agencies, and non-profits; they are business owners as well as c-suite leaders.

Valerie is President of Integrated Focus and has a group of ICF certified coaches who she “right-sizes” various coaching engagements. Her Five Step Coaching Engagement Model is customized for each client based on what they want to achieve. To enhance her coaching, Valerie uses assessments such as Hogan, DISC, and MBTI as well as 360 models.

Since we've moved from an in-person setting to a virtual format and out of consideration for the current economic environment,
we have discounted this event from $35 per member/ $45 per non-member to $15 per person regardless of membership type.
