The NASA Educator Professional Development Collaborative at
Texas State University is providing a 1-hour webinar.
In this webinar, receive a peek into one of NASA’s premier research centers located in California’s Silicon Valley. Participants will learn about the past, present and future of innovation at the center in support of NASA Programs, projects and missions. The center’s partnerships across industry, academia and government agencies will also be a part of the discussion. The VIPER mission will be highlighted as part of NASA's efforts to gain data from the moon in a safe way. Finally, EPDC Education Specialist Sara Torres will share NASA aeronautic hands-on activities that engage students in the classroom as well as in their homes.

Discussion will include classroom modifications.
 
 
 

Sara Garcia-Torres currently serves as an EPD Specialist at NASA Ames Research Center. She works with educators, families, and community members to support STEM efforts. Her research interests include STEM education. She holds degrees from TSU (MEd), and UTSA (BA). Sara is also pursuing PhD studies at Texas State University.
