The PowerEdge MX Boot Camp is designed to introduce the benefits, features, components, architecture, management, and typical target workloads of the PowerEdge™ MX.

At this Boot Camp we will take participants on a comprehensive overview of the PowerEdge MX, the first modular server designed for the emerging category of disaggregated data center infrastructure, or kinetic infrastructure.

PowerEdge MX enables optimal use of various IT resources, dynamically adjusting as workload and business needs change. This way, you can focus on the things that bring value to your business - both now and into the future.

We will discuss how PowerEdge MX provides a Flexible Architecture of disaggregated systems leveraging a shared pool of compute, storage, and networking assets to dynamically respond to changing needs. We will also discuss and provide labs showing integrated Agile Management using the new Dell EMC OpenManage Enterprise Modular Edition and how this helps companies increase efficiency by creating policies & workflows and automating them via software tools.

Prerequisites

There are no specific prerequisites for attending this workshop but it would certainly be helpful to have an understanding of the following:

• Understanding of an Ethernet network infrastructure

• Familiarity with Intel-based x86 compute infrastructure

• Familiarity with SAN networking and Direct Attached Storage

The MX Boot Camp is aimed at technical decision makers, architects, administrators of data centre infrastructure, and senior IT personnel who are evaluating strategic compute solutions for their organization, along with their integrated fabric and storage requirements.
