Holiday Fun with Sparky

A Holiday tradition you won't want to miss!

Sun Devil families of all ages can get in the holiday spirit with a new take on a favorite tradition.

Your registration includes a special photo opportunity with Sparky outside of Old Main that won’t be found anywhere else! You'll also receive a take-home cookie decorating kit and holiday craft kit, too!

The holiday fun continues with a special Virtual Storytime on December 12th, with holiday and winter themed stories read by Student Alumni Association students with a very special guest! More details and Zoom link for Storytime will be shared in your confirmation email.

Saturday, December 5th

Attendees will pick an arrival time for their group and will remain physically distanced from other attendees. All crafting and cookie decorating are take-home projects - beside taking your photo, there will be no activities in person.

Available arrival times are between 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Safety Precautions:
By registering to attend, you agree that all attendees in your group will adhere to ASU's Community of Care guidelines (please read below) and the following photo guidelines. In the spirit of health and safety, your group will be spaced 6 feet from Sparky for your photo and your group and Sparky must wear masks for the photo. You can have a second photo of just your group (without Sparky) taken without your masks.

Important Health Considerations:

If you or anyone in your party is sick or does not feel well, we ask that you please stay home and enjoy this celebration virtually. Currently, older adults and persons with underlying health conditions are considered to be at increased risk of severe illness and complications from COVID-19. Examples of underlying health conditions include heart disease, lung disease, diabetes, people with weakened immune systems, and people who are pregnant. The CDC recommends that people in high-risk groups consult with their healthcare provider about attending any large gathering.

If you do choose to attend in person, please keep in mind the CDC recommendations as well as ASU Community of Care health protocols on how to keep yourself and others healthy:

  • Face coverings that fully cover your nose and mouth in accordance with CDC guidelines are required at all times on ASU campus, including outdoors and in ASU parking garages.

  • Maintain a minimum of six (6) feet of distance from others.

  • Cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing.

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
