Project Opening Ceremony

OVERVIEW

This Ceremony is organised jointly by NCI Agency and Canada, the Lead Nation for the MN CD2 Project.

The security classification of this event is NATO UNCLASSIFIED and participation is limited to the representatives of NATO and NATO Member Nations.

 

Establishment of MN CD2 project by five (5) founding nations: Canada, Denmark, The Netherlands, Norway and Romania marks an important step in the NCI Agency support to the development of NATO and national cyber defence capabilities and improvement of cyber resilience. Upon establishment of the project, further nations can also join in accordance with the MN CD2 MOU.

 

MN CD2 is fully aligned with the Agency Host Nation role of NCIRC FOC, support to ACT Cyber Defence Programme of Work, as well as with the NATO Smart Defence efforts. It is a Tier1 project in Smart Defence Project Proposals database, with C3B as the Sponsor Committee.

 

Through this Multinational project the nations will have an opportunity to work together on three work packages proposed under the project:

·         WP1: Technical Information Sharing Interface

·         WP2: Situational Awareness

·        WP3: Distributed Multi-sensor Collection and Correlation
Infrastructure (DMCCI)
