How do I start a business in Peoria, Glendale, Phoenix, or any West Valley City? The answer is simple...participate in the free Businesses Builder two-part series.

With this training, start your journey to gain the skills, answers and resources needed to launch a new venture in the West Valley.

Who: Our Business Builder program is the perfect first stop for all new business owners, entrepreneurs, creatives and future innovators in the West Valley.

Where: An interactive online meeting series led by a local expert with specific content created by ASU.

Where: The program is Online using Zoom. We encourage participants to keep your cameras on and come ready to share your experience and ask questions. The online format makes it easily accessible to you no matter where you are in the Valley. If you'd like to test your equipment, there will be an opportunity to log on 15 minutes early to check your camera and audio


Not ready to turn the camera on? We have several tools and presentations prerecorded, email peoria.forward@asu.edu

All attendees will receive a series of emails full of local resources, guidance and opportunities. There is a lot of value packed into this free community program so all innovators can start their business right.

Business Builder is a two-part series; however attending both is not required but is highly encouraged. You must register for both.

Why: Launching any business, service, nonprofit or event a product is confusing; this series is created to educate on recommended first steps for any enterprise. The interactive virtual format makes it easy for people to connect and find the answers they are looking for.

You can expect to learn how to:

  • Understand best practices for starting a sustainable business in the West Valley
