Program

Please join The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) for a free virtual education program for patients and their families. This program will seek to address questions and concerns, providing insight for those with current or past sleep difficulties, as well as those seeking to avoid any potential future sleep issues. In this program, participants will learn some of the biological basics of sleep to help gain a better understanding of how sleep actually works. Building on this knowledge, participants will learn about insomnia, including general information about the condition, causes of sleep difficulties, and how the sleep/wake process can become disrupted, both acutely and chronically. Participants will also hear about treatment options for problems sleeping, including considerations about sleep medications based on research, sleep promoting behaviors, and cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I). Throughout the program, additional focus will be given to unique considerations about sleep for those with a current or past cancer diagnosis

In addition, participants will learn about the resources available in their community and those provided by LLS. We encourage you to invite your caregiver and family members.

Pre-registration for this free program is required.
