Event Overview

Connections to Contracts is a procurement-focused event connecting women-owned businesses with corporations and each other. This virtual offering features a welcome reception, corporate “roundtable” procurement discussions, a c-suite executive keynote address, “prime time” sessions led by corporate members and their Tier 1 suppliers, exhibitor booths featuring select sponsors, small group networking, and one-on-one networking.

The goal of this virtual event is to provide access to business opportunities between our members that eventually lead to contracts, therefore helping women-owned businesses achieve parity. Shout out to our Spend Reporters - members who are contributing to this movement through their spend with women-owned businesses.

Registration
Sponsored by Dell Technologies

Your registration includes access to the pre-event welcome reception on Wednesday and all components on Thursday and Friday. Some components are time-specific; some are not. And, some components have a capacity limit; some do not. On Thursday and Friday, if the components with capacity limits are full, you will still be able to network one-on-one with fellow attendees and visit with exhibitors.

Time-Specific Opportunities to Connect

Pre-Event Welcome Reception
Sponsored by CAET Project Management Consultants, Jayne Agency, Nokia, Painters USA, Software Professionals, Inc., and Walmart

There is no capacity limit.

This is a come-and-go opportunity to network on Wednesday, before the event officially begins. It features sponsor remarks and three 15 minute rounds of small group video networking through Zoom. There's no formal programming. This is simply time to make connections. Join and exit at your own pace.

Small Group Networking
Sponsored by Fluor, Parkland, Personalized Payroll, and SQV Construction

There is a capacity limit per group session.

At the beginning and end of each day, there will be multiple sessions available on a first-come, first-served basis for attendees to network in small group video chats of 10 people. There's no formal programming. This is simply time to make connections. Join and exit at your own pace.

Corporate “Roundtable” Discussions
Sponsored by Anderson Asphalt & Concrete Paving, Oncor, and Vistra

There is a capacity limit per discussion session.

A corporate representative leads WBEs in a discussion on his or her company’s procurement process and shares insights on how potential suppliers can differentiate themselves.

How It Works

Sized to facilitate discussion,
each “roundtable” is a small group video chat limited to 8 people. One spot is for the corporate member host; the other spots are for WBEs interested in learning about that company’s procurement process. WBE spots are open on a first-come, first-served basis. WBEs can enter a "roundtable" session during the event until the capacity has been reached.

Timeline
Each discussion is 20 minutes followed by a 2 minute transition. Discussions take place from 10:15 - 11:20 each day.
10:15 – 10:35 … Discussion Round 1
10:35 – 10:37 … Transition
10:37 – 10:57 … Discussion Round 2
10:57 – 10:59 … Transition
