2020 Virtual National Keystone Conference

Frequently Asked Questions

Why did BGCA decide to convene the conference virtually?

The safety and well-being of our youth, teen members and staff is of utmost importance and BGCA is closely monitoring reports from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus. As a result, BGCA decided to host this annual event virtually to continue to recognize and celebrate teens from across the Movement that have demonstrated exemplary leadership in academic success, career preparation, community service and teen outreach. BGCA will provide an opportunity for teens to convene together virtually to address pressing issues that matters most to them and the importance of amplifying their voice.

Can non-Club teens attend the conference?

Yes. BGCA is excited to take this opportunity to engage and inspire all teens with the 2020 virtual conference. BGCA encourages both Club staff and Club teens to spread the word amongst their communities to ensure each teen that would like to attend this virtual event has an opportunity to do so.

Is there a registration fee?

No. There is no registration fee to attend the virtual event.

What is the minimum and maximum age of attendees?

Keystone Club members and non-Club teens must be between 14-18 years old at the time of the Conference. If an active member of his/her Club will be 19 years old at the time of the Conference, but will still be enrolled in high school, or will be a 2020 graduate he/she can join.

Do I have to stay online for the entire time?

BGCA plans for an interactive, high energy and fun 3-hour experience therefore we strongly suggest and hope all can stay online and engage for the entire time. However, if attendees need to log off we certainly understand.
